Corporate Responsibility

For us at GIORGIO PIETRI, responsibility towards the environment and society is of paramount importance. For this reason we work exclusively with coffee producers, whose crops comply with the criteria of the UTZ Certified Code of Conduct (UTZ) and in this way we actively support sustainable agricultural coffee production.  We select grains from plantations that prohibit the use of non-organic fertilizers in coffee crops and encourage the use of renewable energy sources where possible.

We make sure to procure raw materials from producers who follow ethical rules regarding both crops (minimal or recorded use of chemicals to protect production, integrated water management systems), and the human resources involved in the cultivation and production of coffee . The coffee growers we trade and their families have access to health care, education, while in the workplace discrimination is prohibited, as well as child labor.

Through these collaborations we ensure that the product that reaches the hands of the consumer has been produced with methods that respect both the man and the natural environment, within the framework of the principle of sustainability and the orders of the international community.
