Brita filters reduce the hardness of carbonate in drinking water, thus preventing scale deposits in terminal equipment. Depending on the bypass setting, calcium, magnesium and metal ions can be selectively removed from drinking water during the flow process.

In addition to turbidity and organic pollutants, the filter material also reduces the level of substances that impair odor and taste, such as chlorine residues in the filtrate and bypass water.

Multi-stage filtration and water softening:

1. Pre-filtration removes coarse particles.

2. Reducing the hardness of the carbonates and the ion exchanger reduces the carbonate content and prevents deposits.

3. Activated carbon filters that can affect the taste and smell are removed.

4. Fine filtration retains particles up to 10 μm in size.

There is a variable head bypass regulator to suit water conditions depending on the hardness of the area.
